I just started reading Immunity to Change by Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey. I hadn’t even made it out of the preface when I came across this gem:
Innovative leaders share a trio of fundamental traits:
- A deep and abiding recognition that their people bring their humanity to work with them every day.
- An understanding that the absolute division between the work realm and the personal realm is naive and unhelpful.
- A belief that twenty-first century leaders must find a more effective way to engage the emotional lives of their organizations and their leadership teams.
Heather Hollick has been helping others become better leaders and craft more meaningful careers for more than 25 years. Her experience spans both business and technology, operations and organizational development. Oh, and she was born in Canada, so she can't help but be helpful. 😉
