Tony Danza’s break into television came out of left field. He was not an aspiring actor. Instead, he was an aspiring boxer. He was working out in a New York City gym when a producer for Taxi approached him and asked him if he wanted to be on television. The rest is history.

There is always an element of luck to success. The trick is to prepare yourself to receive the luck. Increase your odds by doing great work, building a strong network, and linking the two. People in your network need to know what you are working on … and vice versa.
